Here's how my trip to China began....
On the 29th of July, 1999 I flew from Denver and after 16+ grueling hours later, I was in Shanghai China.
I met my friend, and we took a taxi.
I was very surprised to see how modern Shanghai is. I guess I was thinking of the stereo-typical buddhist temples and monastaries and some dirt roads, along with high rising gray apartment buildings, and millions of people riding bikes. I wasn't too far off with my imagination though. There were plently of old, gray apartment buildings, next to modern housing developements. And plenty of modern high-rise buildings.
Billboards, and advertisements seemed to be everywhere!
